Sheridan Creek Channel Stabilization Project
Mississauga
Greck led a team of professionals including water resources engineers, fluvial geomorphogists, geotechnical engineers, terrestrial ecologist, fisheries biologist and landscape architects to assess, select and design a preferred approach to channel stabilization for a portion of Sheridan Creek.
The shale bed channel system is generally in a natural state with some encroachment by urban development. The project was planned under a Schedule “B” Municipal Class EA. The preferred works included the removal of a failed gabion wall and replacement with soil bioengineering works.
