Greck was retained by a family of farmers to identify and address sediment and erosion issues being enforced by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Department of Fisheries. An investigation determined that agricultural practices had resulted in exposed soils being susceptible to erosion, with sediment subsequently being transported into nearby waterbodies.

Greck identified the primary sources of erosion and developed a comprehensive approach to minimize ongoing sediment transport while accommodating the operational requirements of the farm. Protective measures were designed to stabilize vulnerable areas and reduce erosion, while also addressing sediment accumulation that had already occurred within the receiving waterbodies.

Greck worked closely with the regulatory agencies on behalf of the property owner to address their concerns, obtain the necessary approvals, and develop a practical, permanent solution. The resulting design provided long-term erosion and sediment control while allowing the farming operation to continue in a sustainable manner.
