Greck was retained by the developer to oversee the completion of a flood study for a proposed 58 ha mixed-use development property.  The proposed development required substantial fill works within a known floodplain area within the OPS #1 Drain in Lindsay, ON.

A hydrologic and hydraulic analysis was undertaken to assess existing and proposed watershed and development conditions including considerations for future stormwater management.

Greck successfully supported policy adjustments to allow for a two-zone flood hazard designation changes in the study area allowing fill works to proceed.  Considerable correspondence and project management was undertaken with involved stakeholders including the owner, City of Kawartha Lakes, Kawartha Conservation and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).
