Bercy-Wycliffe Park Channel Rehabilitation
Markham
Greck was retained by the TRCA to prepare detail design drawings for the rehabilitation of four identified high-risk channel bank erosion sites on German Mills Creek in Markham, Ontario. These sites were identified in an earlier study completed by Greck due to the Municipal Design at risk.
Our work included hydraulic analysis to support detail designs to provide long-term stability utilizing natural solutions with a combination of riverstone revetments, MSE wall, rock vanes, soil bioengineering, large woody debris features and strategic plantings within the riparian zone.
Construction inspection services were later provided. Greck worked with the project team including a fluvial geomorphologist, arborist and the Conservation Authority.
