Sheridan Creek Channel Stabilization Project

Greck was retained by the City of Mississauga to lead a team of professionals including water resources engineers, fluvial geomorphogist, geotechnical engineers, terrestrial ecologist, fisheries biologist, and landscape architects to assess, select and design a preferred approach to channel stabilization for Sheridan Creek between Meadow Wood Road and Rattray Marsh.  The shale bed channel system is generally in a natural state with some encroachment by urban development.  The project was planned under a Schedule “B” Municipal Class EA.  The preferred works include the removal of a failed gabion wall and replacing it with soil bioengineering works.
